Cohesive behaviour for Interaction in Abaqus Explicit at the interface of materials

Hi,
I am working on effects of Blast Loading in sandwich composites using Abaqus. I want to incorporate Cohesive behaviour at the interface of the two materials in the sandwich composite structure i am analysing.

Umat-Help-Progressive Damage modeling

Hiii All,

I am writing an umat for Progressive Damage modeling for 3d Composites.

when I am compiling my Umat i got an error which says

The executable /raid/software/64/abaqus/6.8-1/exec/standard.exe
aborted with system error "Illegal floating point operation" (signal 8).

I checked out my code many times but i dont find any wrong,Can any one please help me out to resolve this issue.

If some one needs my subroutine file i can send it to them provided te email address

Help in abaqus modelling

Hi all,

I am currently working on my Masters thesis which is the analysis of sandwich structures subjected to blast loading using Abaqus. Can someone suggest some references which would explain me how to apply blast loading using abaqus.

There is an example problem of submarine in the abaqus user's manual which includes the blast loading. But they've only given the inp file for that.

So can someone also tell me how to generate .cae file from .inp file in abaqus.

Best Regards,

First ply failure of composite panels using ABAQUS

I am using ABAQUS Software for analysis of laminated composite plates (279X279X2.16) and (0/90)4s having 16 plies; trying to perform Buckling and Post buckling analysis using Static Rik’s algorithm.

Firstly, Eigen value analysis is performed in step one, and thus bulking load is predicated. Then Eigen values are incorporated in Static Rik’s Non-linear analysis for imperfection (1% of first Eigen mode,0.05% of second Eigen mode, 0.025% of third mode and 0.025% of forth mode)using edit keywords method.

Fracture Mechanics vs. Damage Mechanics

I was wondering what are the advantages of damage mechanics and fracture mechanics over each other? Specially in order to model the delamination phenomenon.

Experimental analysis of prepreg tack

亲爱的,我研究应对策略的准备reg materials. This kind of composite materials is increasingly used in the design of structural parts, particularly in the aerospace industry.Tack is one of the major properties that governs the ability of prepreg to be laid up. To investigate this property, we have developed a probe tack test to evaluate the effect of the temperature, the contact time, the contact force and the debonding rate on it.

Impact in Composites

Forums:

Hello,

I'm doing some research in aircraft protection against impact, mainly refering to UAV's protection of the payload (avionics,etc..) during crash.

Does anyone knows where I can get some info about related topics (impact in composites, collision protection, reinforcement of structures, etc..)?

Thanks, Ivo Pires

Does anyone knows what's the theory of the element shell99 in Ansys? I tried to search in ANSYS Help, but didn't find anything. Is it kirchoff classical plates theory?

Ansys Help

Hi All

I have just started my postgraduation in aerospace composites. I am new to FE of composites and required serious help in learning composite modelling. It will great if someone can help me in starting up. If you know any websites or books which have examples which I can go through to learn modelling of composites, please let me know. Thanks for your help.
