Water Landing of Space Flight Re-entry Vehicles Using Abaqus/Explicit

Space flight re-entry vehicles need to withstand heavy impact upon landing and it is critical for engineers to understand the effects on the vehicle and the crew to ensure the safety of the mission. In order to gain this insight, engineers need to be able to model both the space craft structure and the landing medium such as water, sand, clay, etc.

ADINA Electromagnetics

We have recently added the ADINA Electromagnetics module (ADINA-EM) to our wide range of multiphysics offerings. Using this module, the general Maxwell's equations can be effectively solved and the resulting electric and magnetic fields can be coupled to the fluid flow. For details please see:

Post Doctoral position at French research centre LMPM-ENSMA : numerical developement applied to multiphysic coupling

job

The LMPM (http://www.lmpm.ensma.fr) seeks candidates for a post-doctoral position in the domain of numerical development applied to the modelling of coupled phenomena. It consists in understanding, modelling and simulating the different couplings (like mechanical, thermal, chemical and diffusion problems) on industrial cases.

The LMPM is a research centre in France which focuses on durability of material under severe environment (multiphysic coupling).
