Still debugging the problem
I've confirmed this is a problem on my end. I'm working on the problem, and will post an updated set of slides as soon as I fix it properly.
Fixed. New version posted.
An updated set of slides is posted. A bug in the dvi2pdf code in Ubuntu was to blame.
