I am trying to carry out coupled temperature displacement analysis for layered solid in ABAQUS 6.8 but it is not accepting coupled temperature displacement type element for layered solid (Composite). I would like to request for some suggestions/ way out to carry out the same in ABAQUS.
Thank you.

Dear all
I am trying to model damage at the interface of Dentine and enamel. AS the property of dentine material crack grown in the area of Dentine Enamel Junction(DEJ), when comes to dentine region,it start arresting due to prescence of collagen and mineral fibers in the dentine composite. I am trying to simulate that crack arresting property by modelling the DEJ region with user element facility in abaqus with crack arresting or crack healing capabilities.
Can some body help me in this regard ?
Thanks and waiting to get your insightfull advices in this regard.
Sincerely
Dhaneshwar
Hi Every body
I am Dhaneshwar Mishra, a PhD student working in the area of fracture mechanics, basically fracture failure of interfaces of bimaterial, composite layers etc. I am regular reader of IMechanica and got lots of insights by reading different postings on it. I am trying to model the interface in ANSYS 10.0 with their Interface element INTER204. While searching this element in Ansys element library, i could not find it. Will some body guide me to model interface of composite layers using the concept of cohesive zone modelling?
Thank you
I am Dhaneshwar Mishra, currently a PhD student at Ajou University, South Korea. I am working in the area of Bimaterial Fracture. Currently i am trying to calculate Stress Intensity factor of cracked bimaterial plate. I wanted to use Interaction Integral Method to seperate Complex stress intensity factor.
Will some one please through light on use of interaction Integral Method used for cracked bimaterial interfaces.
Hope to receive early suggestions.
Thank you.
With regards
Dhaneshwar Mishra
