The goals of the symposium on Mechanics and Materials in Biology and Medicine are to bring together engineers, materials scientists, physicists, mathematicians, chemists, biologists to discuss the cutting-edge research in this field, to identify critical technical and intellectual issues and challenges in further developing mechanics of biological materials and biomaterials, to help researchers in applied mechanics and materials scientists enter this very promising field, and to facilitate interdisciplinary studies by engaging researchers from a variety of fields.

We are soliciting papers in the following areas at the interface of Mechanics, Materials, and Biology:
