job

I'm recruiting Ph.D. students (fully funded) to join my research group in Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Utah State University (USU). The admitted students will work on computational studies of functional materials (energy storage materials/functional polymers) to (i) elucidate the underlying physics of materials deformation and failure, (ii) design new materials, and (iii) design for manufacturing. The research will be at the intersection of multiscale computations and data-driven modeling (Uncertainty Quantification & machine learning).

Admission requirements can be found athttps://engineering.usu.edu/mae/students/graduate/apply.

Interested candidates, please send an email tohaoran.wang@usu.eduwith your CV and transcript.

About USU: USU is located in Logan, Utah, which is 1.5 hours' drive from Salt Lake City and surrounded by six national parks. It is also home to the Space Dynamics Lab, a federally sponsored research corporation with an annual research funding of more than $150 million. The Aerospace Engineering graduate program at USU is ranked as the top 50 by U.S. News.
