Appreciate your response..
A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately in the aerospace department at the Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. The research project focuses on Composite materials and manufacturing, Autoclave/out of autoclave techniques, LCM, constitutive and multi-scale computational modeling of the viscoelastic and other inelastic behavior of composites. Those with a background in mechanics of textile composites, continuum mechanics, viscoelasticity/plasticity/viscoplasticity theories, finite element implementation of computational models using UMAT/VUMAT in Abaqus are encouraged to apply.
Application submittal information:
Only applications providing all application requirements will be further considered. These requirements should be numbered and attached to the application following this order:
Materials must be submitted electronically to Dr. Kamran A Khan (kamran.khan@ku.ac.ae) specifying in the e-mail subject “Postdoctoral-Composite Manufacturing and Multiscale Modeling”. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The candidate is expected to start at the earliest possible date. While we thank all applicants for their interest, only those under consideration will be contacted for a follow‐up interview.

Hello,
I try to insert a concentrated mass into a model and i try to distribute it with a distribuiting coupling. The problem is that the analysis don't see the concentrated mass. Can somebody tell me how insert a *mass in abaqus using hypermesh as preprocessor?
Thanks
i'm analysing the rc beam by using ansys APDL software

The classes are over. The summer is coming! Rui Huang, iMechanician Number 22, has just arranged an iMechanica Get Together in an evening at McMat 2007, in Austin. Here is a tentative agenda. Please join us if you are in town.
A number of other iMechanicians have mentioned to me that they, too, would like to meet one another at their own conferences. Why not? We have been "talking" online for a while. Some of us know each other in person. Some don't.
If you'd like to meet up at an upcoming conference, simply post an entry in the iMechanica Get Together Forum. To gauge the interest, you may want to email the link of your post to a few friends and ask them to suggest ideas.
A get together need not be of any size or any format, so long as you enjoy it.
Time: 5:45 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, 6 June 2007.
Place: TCC 2.120 , UT Austin. (The room is reserved form 5:45 pm to 10:00 pm.)
Session moderators: Rui Huang and K. Ravi-Chander
Audience: Anyone interested in iMechanica. See a thread of discussion initiated by Pradeep Sharma. The event is free for all. So if you are local but are not attending McMat, you are still welcome to drop by.
Format: Workshop and conversation. Bring your laptop to try some new tricks. (Wireless internet connection is available with $5 fee for an account throughout the conference.)
Introduction to iMechanica (15 min):
Discussion (30 min. Moderator: Rui Huang and Ravi-Chander. Sample topics, not in any particular order. Everyone can raise a new topic):
A primer on how to use iMechanica (15 min. Teng Li)
Other topics (If time permits and interest lasts)
Snacks and drinks
Update on 16 June 2007. Minutes of the get together.
