ABAQUS Tracer sets and Illegal Memory Reference error in restart analysis https://万博manbetx平台m.limpotrade.com/node/16870 < div class = "字段field-name-body field-type-text -with-summary field-label-hidden">

Dear all,

I am trying to simulate a large deformation problem using the ALE method in ABAQUS Explicit. When I try to request a Tracer Particles output in a restart analysis Abaqus crashes and the log file states that the packager stopped for an Illegal Memory Reference error. Did anyone experience the same issue? I was running Abaqus 6.13 on Linux

Regards,

NL

HOW TO MODEL EXTRUSION OF HOLLOW AL PROFILE THROUGH A HOLLOW DIE (PORTHOLE) IN ABAQUS //m.limpotrade.com/node/8063 < div class = "字段field-name-body field-type-text -with-summary field-label-hidden">

Hello ,I am trying to model the extrusion of hollow circular tube of aluminium 6063 at 450 through a hollow die in ABAQUS.The model aborts due to excessive distrotion.I have specified ALE adaptive meshing parameters. Has anyone explain how to choose the number of sweeps and the frequency parameters.

How to use ALE in modelling extrusion of AL circular tubes through hollow dies(porthole) //m.limpotrade.com/node/8055

Hello,I am an MS student working on extrusion of AL tubes through hollow dies using ABAQUS.I am facing problems in the ALE settings. The job aborts due extensive distortion even after applying and increasing the number of remeshing frequency and sweeps. I greatly appriciate if any one could help me out.

ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) mesh adaptivity in ABAQUS/Standard //m.limpotrade.com/node/7139 < div class = "字段field-name-body field-type-text -with-summary field-label-hidden">

Dears,

I'm doing some numerical analysis on penetration of infra-strucutres on soils (such as CPT tests) in ABAQUS/CAE .. what I'm recently challenging with is to overcome the element excessive distorsion due to large deformations... I have to apply contact constraints in my model...I would appreciate it if you share your expriences with me regarding the following tips:

1- Is it possible to use the ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) mesh adaptivity in ABAQUS/Standard? If yes, do you know of any accessible examples (.cae files) or references?

2- One strange thing is that I can run my model in ABAQUS/Standard with reports of excessive mesh distorion in 4-10 elements and still get the answer. How much I can rely on such results?

3- Are there any available examples of apllication of ALE mesh adaptivity verifying its applicability in ABAQUS?

Any help would throroughly be appreciated...

VUMAT and ALE in ABAQUS //m.limpotrade.com/node/4397 < div class = "字段field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-6field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-hidden">

Hi all,

Here I encoutered a error in ABAQUS when I include ALE with VUMAT. When ALE was not included with VUMAT, my job can work well while with the combination of VUMAT and ALE, the job cann't work any more due to a "Signal 8" error. And if I use a built-in material model and at the same time ALE, a job can work. Furthermore, element failure is considered in all of the cases.

Anyone can give some suggetion? Thanks in advance!

ALE in ABAQUS and LSDYNA //m.limpotrade.com/node/4396 < div class = "字段field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-6field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-hidden">

Hi all,

Can anyone give a description on the diffrence of ALE in ABAQUS and LSDYNA? And also the difference between r-adaptivity and ALE in ABAQUS. It seems ALE in ABAQUS means the same with r-adaptivity in LSDYNA while “ALE” means diffrently in the two codes.

Thanks a lot!
