Halliburton Drill Bits and Services division has a long-standing, strong commitment to the co-op program. The hired co-ops will work full time in the Material Science Testing Laboratory (MTL) of the Technology Department. MTL is a R&D-oriented laboratory which covers testing functions in mechanical performance, material characterization, and structure verification, etc. Primary responsibility of the co-ops will be to complete a materials related development project. The co-op will be responsible for all aspects of the project both technical and non-technical including problem definition, design, testing, analysis, project management budgetary control and reporting. This job involves a plethora of hands-on work around metallurgical, mechanical testers and/or numerical simulations. Literacy in computer skills and MS Office application software are essential.

Students must be enrolled in School and provide documentation of enrollment upon hiring. Students must be available for a co-op that will take place June-December for a duration of at least 6 months.
Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States, or those needing visa sponsorship presently or in the future, will not be considered
Majors: Material Science, Metallurgy and Ceramics, Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace Engineering or related,
Degree: Ph.D. Candidates
