Postdoc position in computational modeling for materials discovery at RPI
We are inviting applications for a postdoctoral research associate position to work on an exciting project at the intersection of machine learning, computational mechanics, and materials science. The project will accelerate the fundamental understanding of the influence of composition and microstructure on the phase stability and properties of multicomponent materials, and to use such an understanding to optimize their performance in high temperature conditions. The ideal candidate will develop computational modeling technology for materials discovery working with a unique team of computational and experimental researchers.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. To apply, send a resume, a cover letter, and contact information for at least three references todes@rpi.eduandzhanglucy@rpi.edu
Candidates must possess a Doctoral degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and have experience in finite element modeling, computational mechanics, fracture mechanics and machine learning。
·Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
