We currently have one postdoctoral research position available in the Injury Biomechanics Laboratory at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA starting Fall 2022. This position involves the development of high-fidelity finite element head models and the design of computational studies to advance our understanding of both blunt and blast-induced traumatic brain injury (TBI). This research is part of a large interdisciplinary research collaboration involving multiple universities, industrial partners, and national labs.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanics, or related field. A strong background in finite element modeling and computational methods is required, with a strong interest in working on an interdisciplinary collaborative team. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of constitutive modeling of biological tissues and some background in machine learning.

If interested, please send an email to Dr. Rika Carlsen (carlsen@rmu.edu) with your cover letter describing your research experience and research interests, curriculum vitae, and list of 2 references.

Postdoc Position in Computational Biomechanics (Remote Work Option Available) https://万博manbetx平台m.limpotrade.com/node/24526

We currently have two postdoctoral research positions available in the Injury Biomechanics Laboratory at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA starting Fall 2020. These positions involve the development of high-fidelity finite element head models and the design of computational studies to advance our understanding of traumatic brain injury (TBI). The first position is focused on blast-induced TBI, and the second position is focused on pediatric TBI. These projects are part of interdisciplinary research collaborations involving multiple universities, industrial partners, and national labs. A remote work option is available for these positions.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanics, or related field. A strong background in finite element modeling and computational methods is required, with a strong interest in working on an interdisciplinary collaborative team. An ideal candidate will also have knowledge of constitutive modeling of biological tissues.

If interested, please send an email to Dr. Rika Carlsen (carlsen@rmu.edu) with your cover letter describing your research experience and research interests, curriculum vitae, and list of 2 references. Questions about this position may also be emailed to carlsen@rmu.edu. Updated information about these positions can be found here.
